That's right out 30 pound ####er spaniel is too fat to ride with me! -
The great banter and running dialogue on here between the Abilene drivers has definitely made your company my number one choice. I talked to Sally today in recruiting and she explained that for a new student coming out of school it was give or take a 6 month training period with the company. That was a surprise but not a problem. I am just ready to get out of the house and back to work after not working for so long. Getting hurt at work or in surgery after the age of 40 is not near as easy to bounce back from as it was when I was a young Marine or even working into my 30's. If God is willing I will be part of the Abilene team of drivers starting in November.
The Challenger and JohnBoy Thank this. -

Hehe. Sorry to beat a dead horse but I just can't help it. I wanted to notify everyone that, courtesy of Abilene my truck is now clean and I can count on not being fired for a dirty truck. Hehe.

Reset was up at 5:01 am yesterday. Got my reload info at 10am. I had to deadhead to Deming NM to load going to Antioch Tn. I was loaded and headed east by 2pm. The load was a nice 1550 mile trip, except it delivered on Friday at 12:30. I sent Tim a message explaining that I was hired to deliver the freight, not babysit it. He agreed and at 10 this morning I was instructed to drop it in our new drop yard in wonderful West Memphis Arkansas. This place was a rathole 34 years ago and it's still a rathole today. I dropped the trailer at 10 this evening. My load planner on this load called me about 6pm to ask me if I wanted to run and I told him I just came off a reset and had plenty of hours to run. He told me to take my 10 and he would send me a load in the morning. Time for bed.
The Challenger Thanks this.
