Sounds like senior mgmt at Western believe in "Survival of the Fittest," or "Evolutionary Theory" or
perhaps "Dog eat dog World." Who knows!! My point is simple, "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is." Most of you guys having been driving long enough to read through the BS of recruiters. For those new to the industry, my heart will bleed for them. Keep on trucking

Tina-I think you are correct. It seems like this company is only out for themselves, but it even seems worse than that. Almost all large corporations are selfish, but at least most of them have realized that it pays off in the long run to take care of their employees(turnover can be very expensive). It seems to me that this company is even too short-sighted to see that.

What happened to the creator of this post? It seems to me that people have been awfully critical of someone who was sincerely trying to help. I'm sure we've all made some mistakes in the past(some of us a lot worse that recruiting people to a crappy company). It just seems to me that this guy could have saved some people from making a dangerous mistake if he hadn't been bullied off this site.

Advice123, if you are still following this thread, did you ever witness Recruiters or any employees with Western Express do anything illegal? I'm asking this because I have recently been made aware of a class-action lawsuit that has been filed against Western Express(Pierre Cormier V. Western Express, INC). I understand that you want to remain anonymous, but if you are looking to right a wrong, some information would likely help the Plaintiffs(drivers) in this case and possibly other cases as well.

They lie lie lie to you.. I know I worked their .. Was threaten from DM because went over his head to get hometime.. After 2 months... If a company would just be honest they might keep good dependable safe drivers...that is the problem with western express.. That is why they have a bus load come in 2 times a week with new drivers... That's not a lie!!!!

I recruit for P&S Transportation. We are a flatbed carrier based in Birmingham, Alabama. Our fleet is approaching 1,000 tractors in 10 years. The company cares about its drivers and other personnel. No company is perfect but there are many happy people here.

Talke to a recruiter trying to find some info about a regional flatbed gig. I was told I'd be driving I65 from Chicago to Birmingham and then Cleveland and Cincinnati were major stops too. Supposedly, home on the weekends and possibly once in a while through the week as I live in route to Cincinnati. Curious if you guys have info on these regional routes and how the pay is. Thanks.
