There is a lot to be said for attempting to lead by example. If more of us would do that, then folks would be pleasantly surprised by how perceptions would change:)

Think Ill get a million dollar grant from the government to study this problem? Its a toughy. Maybe they could put sattelite toilets behind each parking space? (at least maybe an out house or two?) You park in the back of the Iowa 80 and try to walk to the facilities at 2 am in the morning in the dead of winter, the only thing you'll need is a coroner.

No to mention the self respect you get by doing the right thing. By setting that example.

I'm in my mid fifties and completely relate to you question. When I drove OTR I kept a gallon sized HI-C bottle in my truck. I'd put about a pint of water in it and ad a few drops of the blue RV toilet chemicals to the water. It keeps the bottle from stinking. Each day before I would leave out from the truck stop I'd pour the contents out on the grass. Nothing wrong with having a pee bottle on the truck but don't be like these morons that pour it out on the concrete or throw the bottle away in the parking lot.

Seriously, I can't be the only one who's thought about it. Since DEF is simply clarified pee, can you actually pour your whiz in the tank? Granted, the impurities would make it a non-ideal replacement, but would it hurt the motor or emissions systems, or just smell a little funny? :biggrin_2558:

Won't hurt the motor because it doesn't run through the motor. Don't know what it would do to the emission system.

Umm...I suggest that you do a little research. Urine is bacteria sterile. Urine is a fertilizer and bleach is a harmful chemical. Just dump it in the grass and let nature benefit from it.

Dumping pee on the grass where there's lot of rain... maybe.
HOWEVER... in places where there isnt much rain... like Texas, NM, other dry arid places... it's still gonna smell, so please bring the bottles and dump in the toilet.
If I can waddle to the restroom in the middle of the night or bring my pee bottles and dump in the toilet, so can you guys.
    And I 'm pbly older than 99% of y'all.
    Take care.

Do not forget plenty of plastic bags for #2......Oh and you are gonna need a five gallon bucket attached to the catwalk to store them in, so when another driver irritates you at the truck stop you can toss one on his hood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
