I made my drop of coiled rods in Elyria and got my next load from Media back to Lowe's DC in Grand Ledge. While on the way, I got a preplan for my next load. A load of insulation from Grand Rapids going to Owens Corning in Rockford Illinois. While on my way here I noticed my fuel gauge stopped working. was concerned because I had forgotten how much fuel I had, and I knew I needed to fill up. Made it all the way here and ended up only getting 114 gallons, so it was right around 1/4 of a tank. Still need to contact road repair in the morning and see how to get the fuel gauge working again. Figure they might put it off till I go in for service. Assuming my service is in line with the sticker in the window, Im due in 4500 miles.

Every time I would fill up my tanks, I would reset the trip on the cat monitor digital read out on the dash.

Figured out what the problem was, the plug for the sending unit was off. It must've gotten disconnected when I washed the truck yesterday.

Hey Gunner, been up here in Des Moines since Sunday and it's been going pretty good so far.. We lost 2 out of the class of 44 for medical issues. One was a buddy of mine. But it's the end of day 3 and just sitting here in the classroom waiting to go to the Sim.. Then out to do some backing... I'm pretty excited about getting out with the trainer and getting that part completed so I can get out there again and go...

Ok, So today was a busy ### day. I woke up at my drop at Lowes DC in Grand Ledge Mi with my load of Owens Corning shingles. Was unstrapped lastnight, got in the gate at 630, was unloaded by 7am, and back on the road by730 heading to Grand Rapids for a load of insulation heading out to Rockford Ill. It was originally due for delivery tomorrow, but my FM seen I was gonna get there by 5pm, so he called and got me in for delivery tonight. I was untarped, unstrapped, and both lumber tarps folded in 45 minutes, and then unloaded by 630. They gave me a preplan to head to Porter Ind at Worthington Steel for a load of skidded coils heading to Albion Ill, 264 miles. If im loaded quick it should be another fast turn around, as I should be unloaded by noon. He said he has another preplan for me after that for a delivery on friday, but isnt going to assign it till I am on the way to Albion. Once this load of coilst is off that will put me at around $3900 for the week on Thursday. With another load for friday. Im also staying out this week and going home next Friday. This looks likes its gonna be a good week.

And a quick pointer for anyone curious, as of now, given the nature in which I'm running, if you get in at a ts or rest area for the night and aren't there by say...9pm, don't bother trying to fight the trailer for a spot that's in a ##### spot, or in a poorly lit area, just do what I do, make your own parking spot in an off out of the way area of the lot, usually it will say no parking, but someone is gonna make it a parking spot at some point, why not you? It's just easier this way, and you don't run the risk of tearing someone's hood off.

Also, you will learn the truck stops in the area you usually run that will have spots all night. Not many out there but you can find them.
