Lol see not there dont see or know all of what was going on.
I tighten close to dunage as well just toss and twist snug but not tight just to avoid DOT hassels. Only had a 1/2 dozen conex lds so very limited experience and none that was oblong or quite as big 42" round and only 12 ft bigest single peice so far and the smaller longer stuff not quite as squishy.
Just thought I would try to give ya greif LOL

Why did you put the chains on the skid steers backwards? You should always have your chains forwards. Sheesh!

Two loads that got me home this week. I was not enthused with the securement requirements on the transformers but I guess they made it.

Well you did everything how I do it most of the time. Even put the twist in the straps to keep it from slapping the load. I cant stand seeing straps flapping in the wind. Its a simple fix.

The only issue I could bring up is that I dont see 4 pts on each of the bob cats. But to be honest,.. with smaller machines like that I just use 2 chains and 4 snap binders looping the chain back. Never had an issue. If one was on the top deck then I would absolutely do a real 4 pt securement if only for self preservation.

The corrugated pipe is light enough that I know my headache rack would stop even the largest pieces. I see you tarped the water main and left the sewage open. My smallest tarp is too much for that, so I would have just tarped the whole front. I never like when they are just banded together like that. The bands come loose when you snug the straps down,.. or maybe I'm just too aggressive??

Either way,.. I have no issues. Nothing I havent done. :)

I just like seeing a guy who runs pretty everything I run. And always admire guys who are willing to take the loads I dont feel comfortable with.

Were they bolted to the pallets? Would they not allow you to strap over the top?

I've picked up much much larger A/C chillers and coolers that are bolted to a wooden frame. They are somewhat fragile and despite not being very heavy,.. they are difficult to strap with out bending or damaging them. So I did like you, but I used chains to squeeze down on the wooden frames. The lumber was pretty sturdy. I still got nervous, stopping to check the load every few hours to make sure they were still secure to the frames and the wind didnt rock them loose.

I cant help it but I swear I've seen your truck out on the road before at a shipper I was at. Ever see a fat guy in an ugly green Columbia pulling a nice 53' Fontaine step with ramps?

They were bolted down and would not allow straps over the top. Their reason was that it would rub through the "valuable" paint. They weighed 808 pounds each.

I don't recall seeing a fat guy in an ugly green Columbia but I will keep a look out for you. lol. I mainly run around the Midwest.

The sideways ones weigh less then 10k. The big ones are more. I'm trying to come up with something to keep then secure. It's just escaping me
