granted they're a little slower in charging the battery over a 120 plug. but they still do the job. but it's not the cord that's the problem. it's the power outlet. find a 2 amp socket and your golden. it they're available.

my 1 amp has no problem charging my hand unit. just takes a little longer.

But the unit will not operate correctly if only supplied with the 1A charge. It is designed to have the 2A charge pushed to it.

my unit works just fine but it's not a rand.

worth a shot to test one. your not going to ruin the unit. cord connections fail all the time.

your options. shell some bucks and wait to you get home for your replacemt. or buy a truckstop cable. the sockets seem to last. and those cheap cables last me longer then stock chargers ever did.

and if I remember right. charge time was just as long as stock. I get faster charge with ac then dc.

Just get one designed for the iPad that you can plug the USB cable into. they are now in most truckstops and supply 2.1 amps

They're 3 amps. and work with any USB connection. not just ipads.

one socket is 1 amp. other socket is 2 ampa. it's a 2 USB plug socket.

Mark, they really, REALLY need to update the mapping in CA. The 99 between Fresno and Merced. The 41 in Fresno. The 41 east of Paso Robles. On a side note, 1229 Louise ave in Manteca, CA (a Chevron gas station) When I came to the intersection the station was across the street on the right and my unit wanted me to turn left.
