All i can say is wow, i came in on a monday and did a new DOT, did some paper work, and Mark took me to the hotel. Very nice little hotel too, got up at 06:30 on tuesday, Mark came and got me and told me my truck would be 275. So off we went and i put my stuff in my truc and got the shop to sling in my cb, and we started the day with paperwork and videos. Rather long day, but mark got me lunch, and i had some carrot cake from the lady next to the kitchen (btw full kitchen that we can use . . . are you for real!) as she said the guy downstairs was trying to get her to lose their weight lose thing. Now back to more paper work and videos, this was the story till 17:00. I am a easy going person so i made jokes and had some laughs with everyone up stairs during the day. And the end of the day i sat and talked to one of the owners (im so bad with names) and we went over this and that hometime, different things. Ok now i heard something earlier in the day but it didnt dawn on me until this time of the day, did i hear you right? Did you just say your qualcomm dont even have navigation? Yes i heard them right, you run your own route here (as long as your not going 100 miles the wrong way of course) and i ask Mark earlier in the day and confirmed with the owner they do not tell you where to fuel as long as it is a pilot of flying j, they have preferred stops but if you cont get to one you cant. So now that i am still wondering if this place is for real, i go meet my FM, Taylor is he name and we talk a little bit, oh yes and no force dispatch either. So i am thinking i must have died in a wreck and didnt know it cause this place cant be this awesome right? Wrong. First loads i knew where i was going, Terminal> Counce, TN> Arlington, TX> Deridder, LA> Monroe, LA> and yes if you work here you know where to next, Irwindale, CA. 946 miles for my first check, but i am looking at 3600 something for next weeks. So i am truly impressed with them so far. I have been running 550 to 650 miles a day. I have already let them know they may be stuck with me for a bit lol. Thank you very much Tow, and all the others who kept telling me they were a good company to run with.

I received a call from SEC recruiter. Seemed real interested in me, though I'm not out of school yet. They sound like a good company, but I'm in the Nor'east, and they say they don't run New England. Even if they do, it sounds like home time may be an issue. I don't think I need to be home each week, but 2 or 3 weeks out would be OK with me.

Must have 1 year experience and northeast is not our area.....

i dont know why a recruiter would have called you unless it was in response to an application...

our insurance company will not allow recent grads and we do not have a trainer program....

I got a lot of egg on my face with this one. It was a different company that called me. I got confused with the names - somewhat similar.

    Sorry

Hey tow when I stay out a month u take five days off or seven? I was talking to Tyler and he is saying I will have to take a load home to be able to take the truck home. So I think I'm going to do what you suggested and just take the bus back and get my pickup.

This is a good company but the health and dental insurance isn't so great.

A lot of great info in this thread. How often are the loads drop and hook?
