I have a question about the Cascadia trucks that are offered. For me the color of the truck isn't as important to me as is the engine. Do all the Cascadia come with the DD15? I'm hoping so because that is what i'm wanting. The other thing is the AUX unit. I am familiar with the thero-king tripac, and the Rig master. The others that are out there I have no clue on them. I'm understand that the Cascadia has some sort of electrical unit? is this correct? What are the pros and cons to this unit. I have read that a lot of the problems are with the batteries. Any information y'all have will be greatly appreciated.

All the FL's have the DD15 and 10speed eaton standard .. The DT12 automatic will be in some starting in 14/15 model years . The FL has the park smart system on it standard for SNI but the Tri Pac can be installed on the truck for a $1800 uograde paid up front . The Park smart from what I understand is battery op and works 10-12 hrs before recharge is needed the tri pac as you know is a generator that charges the battery's etc .. The park smart does not charge the system it relieves it's charge from the engine running and provides heat and air off deep cell battery's

You can up grade to the Tri Pac Evolution but there is a up charge of $1,800 to do so which is required up front to upgrade from the park smart which is standard

I've heard the replacement batteries are costly on the park smart .. But I would assume they have a warranty period on them not sure

How's that kW running? I've heard they are plagued by problems.

Zip on the problems here..turbo went out at 1200 miles.
Replaced under warranty and Paccar had them turn truck up to 485HP with new turbo installed.
It was like a new engine was dropped in..pulls good and excellent MPG.
50k on her and not a peep.

What do you do when you do a 34 hour restart with the parksmart system? Sounds like it could be a pain in arse, maybe better to do the restart staying in a hotel. Oh and are you able to have an inverter with this system?

I know some battery packs can be charged with about 3 hours of engine idling.
