A picture would help. I'd say leave it alone. It made it this far!
The customer may tell you to throw in some pipe stakes when you deliver, for safety while unloading.
Of all my pipe loads, I've been told 1 time by shipper to use pipe stakes. Secure it correctly and drive safe, you shouldn't have a problem.
Bellywraps aren't a bad idea either.

I would guess you're delivering in Texas if so the reason Melton put that on there because you need pipe steaks on the outside in Texas Not wood if you made it that far you probably won't have a problem with DOT

I'm going to hit the sack so I can get up early enough to make it to the delivery before they close tomorrow afternoon. So I take it that just drive it as is to the consignee and when I arrive, if they ask for them, go ahead and slide them in the pockets before heading in their yard?
-
That's what I would do!
I wouldn't mention it to them, but if they ask you to, put them in. Most likely the will not ask. -
ive only ever used pipe stakes for loading and unloading, not while driving to leave em up. id go along with mrh. long as its secured it prob wont be a problem
