    So many people go in thinking "well yeah alot of truckers die out on the road but they drive unsafe and make up like 0.5% of all drivers a year" ,they forget ALOT of truckers injure or kill other drivers on the road but are fine themselves ,I'd say its in the 5% range.


    You will be found at fault because jurors are people and GRAND jurys are mostly Ex-cops and people and cops HATE trucks. You will spend 5 years in jail(assuming you did everything by the book ) and say good bye to your CDL

    Why would police officers have such a hatred for truck drivers?
    Without the truck drivers to drive the nation's trucks, our economy would practically cease to exist. The economy would come to a grinding halt.

    i only had problems with an attitude of 2 cops in all the years of driving, I would not sauy most have it in for drivers at all.

    The OP must have had a bad day.....

    Pretty silly. Grand jury=Ex-Cops=Truck haters?

    Guess I'm just baffled.

    To the OP: Please back this up with facts including your references to academic studies showing your statements to be true. Where do you get your understanding that Grand Juries are mostly former law enforcement officials? Where are the studies showing that most law enforcement officials hate trucks? What study shows that a driver WILL spend five years in jail? Your audience awaits....

    I have only had one LEO that I feel acted in an unprofessional manner towards me, albeit I did do something stupid and it was a learning experience, but he lost his cool a bit. And I still didn't get a ticket over it.

    I have had DOT certified inspectors be a bit nit picky, and have been put out of service once because they found something genuinely unsafe that i didn't notice beforehand.
