California again. Came in on 15 this time. Scale closed, again passed CHiPs at 62 and was not apprehended. Saw him point his LIDAR gun right at me, too. I don't see what all the fuss is about.

I did notice that a LOT of people were counting their lucky stars that the scales were closed, whether they realized it or not (probably not).

I got passed (even at 62) by at least 8 trucks that very obviously had their tandems WAY past 40 feet.

Well..after my bout with a kidney stone earlier this year I had left the yard heading to Alabama going down I75 in Ooltewah Tn (the one between Cleveland and Ooltewah), having lived in that area I should have remembered about the speed that changes midway on the downslope side heading south 65 to 55, rolled er down at 68 and Mr THP was sitting in the normal spot they shoot radar from (it was nighttime). Needless to say lights me up I pull over at the weigh station area and he comes up passenger side and gets on the steps..1st thing he says is " those are some nice boots ya got there" (they are ariat cowboy style). Gives me a warning BUT throws it on a DOT insp (prick)

Maybe I should have offered em the boots, it is Tennessee

I had a great week again, my super hero asset manager snagged me a preplan yesterday, that picked up today and delivers near home for my home time.
I expected the "looks like there's freight in the area to get you home" bs. But the preplan is always gooder.

I picked up at a paper mill and had to sit in a room, while a safety video played, for like ever.
I guess safety directors are all the same,

Just left Denver with a beer load. Some genius decided to break the bar that keeps the tandems from sliding off the trailer and leave it for the next guy (me) and for that driver I have a well deserved "#### you". Wasted 2 hours waiting for road service to show up and weld it back in place. Even better, the load will now deliver a day late because someone was too lazy and irresponsible. And probably reckless... It would take an awful lot of force (speed) to break that bar while you're sliding the tandems. I don't understand why some people can't just take responsibility and get stuff fixed... then again I've seen and dealt with worse.

For the sixth time this year, I am out in California again. Sitting at the Pilot in Hesperia, and delivering in the morning to Walmart. Usually this load goes to Riverside, CA but either Walmart has moved their operation or they now have a second warehouse they use. This delivery goes to Colton, CA...it is about 5 miles from the warehouse they have on Fleetwood Dr. This one is a Lineage warehouse on Miguel Bustamonte Parkway. Just wondering where I go from here!
