0900 Live unload at Galesburg Rock Tenn went pretty fast. Followed up with a 1530 live load with "4 free hours". Showed up early so of course they're busy and I can't even check in until my appointment time. Not looking like a productive day.

Yep... did that a few weeks ago. At least they give you a card that's good for a year, so if you go back within the next year, you don't have to watch the video again.

I was surprised... the gutless POS managed 28 at the top of Sandstone...but of course I wasn't bursting-at-the-seams heavy...and I have a better handle on shifting than I did when I first ran Sandstone with paper rolls (after a 9 hour and 45 minute live load at Mead Westvaco the day prior)

Well, I got a load at a Walmart supplier...but in San Diego, not San Diego proper, but the portion of the city that is on the Mexican border South of Chula Vista and I could toss stones into Mexico from the street this warehouse was on. Had a 1600 appointment, but no door until 1800 and then loaded pretty fast (after their 30 minute break). I was done by 1930...all well and good, except my 14 hour clock expired at 1820. But I could park behind the building, so finished 10 hours there, then off to the Pilot about 5 miles away and scaled out. Hit the road early this AM and deliver in Corinne, UT Wednesday.

After the bad week a few weeks back, the last two have been more Packard-like. 2905 last week, and 3336 this week...and I'll make it home by Friday afternoon.

And no nasty-grams from Bones yet....

But, with the over speed you cannot be Driver of the Month,
according to probably some dumb driver that I met that had no idea what they were talking about

I let my Prostar roll too, I wave to other Cretins with my right hand, as My left is pushing the button to disable the weak jake brake

    48Packard Thanks this.

OK, I finally got my land yesterday, it's right near where 2 state highways are, I call it a T
there has been a parking area there, forever.

In the last 25 years, I've stopped in it to whiz,,,, a lot, or to talk on the phone. Heck, when my oil filter clogged up 2 years ago, my Crete truck crawled to it.

I figured the State had an, ugh ,,,,,, agreement on the deed, maybe a right away? But nope, Maybe it was just a handshake with the property owner, way back when, road construction crews park their equipment there.

Cars park there and carpool to work, yesterday a day cab was there taking a nap. I'm even sure drug dealers, deal there.

BUT NOW, I own it and I can do as I wish, I can bulldoze it and plant roses if I wish.

My realtor and lawyer wanted to know what I was going to do with it, I said as long as no one sues me or dumps trash ( a lot of trash, that won't blow away) I'll leave it be, So watch where you throw your trash out.

Looks like the state keeps it graveled with chipped pavement, which is good for everyone.

So if you're in the area, you can stop, spend the night, whiz all you want, pooh in the grass to your hearts delight, but don't litter. Me, I'm 10 miles away working on the Bud and Woodford Reserve right now.

Me, I own everything to the northwest of the highways.

Fraud alert, if you've never wired money out of your bank account, it is unbelievable how easy it is to do, even on anyone's account. SCARY in facT

All you have to do is keep a light touch on the clutch. Just enough to click the switch that disables the cruise...you won't be actually disengaging the clutch at all.

And I let it roll like nobody's business, especially when Con-Way Freight is trying to Georgia Overdrive his way around me. 61-1/2 MPH ########...at least TMC doesn't Georgia Overdrive past everybody like that.

I hold it back when a known 63-64mph truck is passing me, though.

    tucker and 48Packard Thank this.
