    @Hurst

    I use pandora (free version) on my phone with Verizon along with I Heart Radio and Tune In Radio, but going through rural Eastern North Carolina there are a lot of spots you can't get 4g. So streaming with my phone is hit or miss most of the time. I wanted to see if Sirius worked any better since my truck already has the radio and antenna.

    Only place I lose my XM is in a long tunnel or where the tree canopy is over the road, it will drop for a little bit. About like a GPS acts. Other than that it's great.

    Thats the one advantage Satellite radio has over something like Pandora from your phone. I've had a few rare occasions where satellite reception was choppy.,. usually in the morning or at night and depended on which direction I was traveling. I guess the antenna didnt have a direct line of site. The other time was during a snow storm,.. combination of the clouds and snow covering the antenna.

    In my situation,.. I usually have 5 - 10 gb of MP3 songs loaded in my phone at any given time. When Pandora goes out,.. I switch to my MP3's for an hour or so and usually by then Pandora is back up.

    My t2000 dont have radio controls but does have the smartwheel w/ jakes cruise headlight flashers and trailer flashers love that.
    Got to be hoest for years would go no where without music as of late tho dont even turn the thing on very offten but when I do its either 64gb ipod or iheart radio. Not haveing it on saved my butt just this morning crusing 70 east just past the last rest area I hit a bad section of road bounced me all over and after that I noticed any little bump I would hear a smack on the trailer so I pulled over and the straps on the front pallets had come lose when one of the middle pieces of limestone had slide if I had music on might not have noticed at 4am dark and the bulkhead in the way. That would not have been good hit that 50mph curve in Columbus and watch the cars playing dodge stone with 30 or more pieces of cut stone.

    I found out the tuner is bad. I think I will put a pioneer from my old truck in. It had all the features except satellite. There is a local guy selling a sirius starmate with a lifetime subscription. This way I can use sirius in my rig and car.

    Stopped by best buy and found out the tram antenna on my mirror is not connected. I assumed that the antenna plugged in the back of the radio was for sirius. DOH!!! I'm a idiot. It looks like wire from the tram antenna has been clipped. Found a replacement cable at Wally World online.

    There ya go.

    On open hwy just cruising along I need music to keep me attentive. Else I get drowsy and want to stop all the time.
