They could have tried. Those cases were on the bills. Tyson had the records that they were loaded. They signed the bills that they received everything in full. They would have no case against the company, me, or Tyson. It would look like an internal matter according to the paperwork. Which we all know that is all that matters since I was not on the dock or had any involvement in the unload.

But in the end, it was the receivers mistake and the paid for it because someone had to pay for me to go back because of them.

That is also the bad part of multi drop loads. Don't know if the current stop is over or short unless they tell you.

Got loaded with 43560 pounds of grapes yesterday. With half tank of fuel:

    Steers- 11600
    Drives- 33960
    Tandem- 34360 (Cali hole)
    Gross- 79920

Now sitting 40miles from Needles and stop for check call and to adjust weights for the Az scale. Moved fifth wheel one hole forward and slide tandem back one hole. So now it is approx 12k, 34k, 34k.

Good enough for the trip to Ochelata.

    Aminal and Jarhed1964 Thank this.

After I left you at the flying j I got tagged at the scales on the 5 heading south. Good thing I moved my tandems lol. Got a level 3 all good of course but it killed my momentum so I ended up stopped in cochella.

Anybody else get stuck with a 2013 Kenworth t660? How's your gas mileage? I definitely hate the turning radius on this truck.

I just arrived in Phoenix with my first load that delivers tomorrow. I've been splashing fuel to get the last few hundred miles because I'm not sure what I can get out of these tanks and I don't want to push it. This was about a 1400 mile run including deadhead. I'm sitting just under a quarter of a tank and I put in 110 gallons on top of the full tank I left JCT with.

Fuel is 3.49 at the pilot in Tolleson, AZ. After I deliver this load, if I fill up, will that fuel come out of the 1400 mile run or my next run?

    thanks

You will always be charged for fuel on your current trip or your last trip UNTIL your are dispatched on your next trip. That means when you get your load assignment. Do not confuse this with your pre-plan.

Glad I made my weight distribution adjustments before I hit AZ. Got flagged into the scale. Pulled on the scale and came out with 11990, 34000, 33930. Scale master came over the PA with a thank you and have a good day. I waved went on my merry way.

THe truck I've got doesn't have a fifth wheel slider. I should probably let them know if I get loaded at any produce locations.

Coincidence? I think not. Arizona knows California laws and looks forward to, um, "introducing" themselves to an unaware driver. Been there, done that.

Never quite understood why you would slide your 5th wheel. Find a permanent spot, preferably up as close to the front as possible and leave it there. Its perfectly fine to have weight on your steers.
