    Does anyone here know if Kim Hoerning is still a recruiting contact for I/Cs? I didn't realize my last contact from her was in June, 2013....thanks!

    So fairly easy day today but i managed to screw myself a tad. Overslept earlier by about 3 hours, l got up at 2 instead of eleven like i had planned.


    Shipped out around 4pm got down to Sutherland and dropped my trailer then headed for my Live P/u 20 miles away. Stopped for fuel and started talking to an ex IC who told me all about running your own aiuthority and how SNI is shorting us, fairly interesting convo but he seemed a tad angry.


    Navigo takes me to a dark gate for my pickup, I get there its locked down no answer on the phone nothing. I msg Support shift and decide to back out the way i came, I mean it was my only option. I back up a half mile flip around and search for another entrance and find the main gate. Check in and they say you have to watch a safety video I told they guy i hope they are serving lunch after their safety training.


    I get that done and go check in and they tell the guy ahead of me its a 7 hour wait to get loaded i start to pass out hoping he tells me different, at that moment SNI is calling them for me info so he calls me to the front and what ever they said to him causes him to expedite the process to get me out.


    I get lucky and my live is a preload, no 7 hour wait, Whew that was close, I run to the drop yard to get the trailer and run out of time so i have to take my 30. I lost 2 hours at that place. During my 30 it dawns on me i've lost so much time i cant make the delivery today which means i just lost all of monday and the revenue from this load, and the 550 i just put in the tank isnt looking so pretty at all.


    At 1230 i was 5 hours from the receiver and they have a 7-3 window my 14 would've ended at 6.
    I feel like a complete idiot for losing a day and revenue buuuut the show must go on I'm about to jump on the board and see what i can find to get me going on tuesday, I'm at the house now less than 2 hours from receiver setting back out around 4am tuesday. I'm gonna use this as a learning experience to remind myself to attempt to keep a consistent sleep schedule

    Why did you need a 30 min break if you were at the shipper as long as you said.

    Because i had to keep moving the truck from spot to spot everything was in different spots and i didnt sit in any one spot 30 minutes, I tried to start the 30 a couple times.

    3 miles total but the speed limit got up to 45 between locations
