    correction, DON'T order the device

    GPS, it is not.

the software has some of the gps settings, but it has no chip. probably why it's advertised in the software specs and not the technical specs.

What happened. Are you talking about the $79 Walmart device?

i'm not too worried about it. i really have no need or use for a tablet.

if this thing had gps, i would keep it for a xmas present. to which i may just do anyways for one of the kiddies.

Just downloaded the CoPilot App (car premium) to my Apple iPad... I figured $10 (on sale with free year of Traffic) was a good way to check it out for a bit and wait for the Pro Truckers version of the app to go on sale.

Still looking at other options but I think the CoPilot App on my tablet might be a good route to go for not... Instead of buying a stand alone single task GPS unit or the RM Tablet both costing 300 to 400 to 500 dollars.

If anyone has an opinion on the CoPilot/iPad combo, as compared to other options, I would love to hear about it.

i cant speak for other truck related gps units but the combo of the copilot truck and my ipad air has been worlds better than any gps unit for cars i've ever owned.

i bought the ipad just to use for gps when i finished trucking school and got hired a year ago and i would have never made it without it.. navigation and entertainment all in one... my only gripe is the state mileage logging is buggy and gives vastly different readings on the same route. this started after the last update.
