JCT has freight that goes to both coast, as for the phones, they have been upgrading the system and there's been alot of problems, I've been here 7 weeks, and I just don't have any complaints, a couple learning curves, but overall I couldn't be happier, I just learned of the ECT fuel locator, and that alone saves me about $150 a week in fuel cost, my average mpg is 7, and I make no effort to increase it, 68 ALL day, until I hit California, that's where it all balances out.
So anyone considering coming to JCT the longer you put it off, the longer until you get to see first hand what we all speak about on these treads, it's a absolutely great partnership, and to not make money here requires alot of effort more so than it takes to make money, that's for sure. And believe me, I run alot different than alot of the other drivers here, but it works for me and after taxes I'm still above a grand a week. So don't get discouraged. FYI all the snow in this country, and my tires haven't touched any. Running west has its advantages. 🚚💨💨👋✌

Is there a a way to pay your fixed expenses a week in advance for home time? I know "the Tiger" takes weeks off at a time here and I'm just curious how one recoups all of that lost fixed expense..I'd rather buy a weeks expenses in advance than go in the hole. I know it's a psychological thing, but I think it's a valid way to operate...especially for peace of mind.

At JCT my fixed expenses on a 2014 Cascadia were just under $300/week. I always like taking 5-7 days off for hometime versus 2 or 3, and I always just let the chips fall where they may. The variable lease makes things a LOT easier!

I asked about that when I started and was told you could but I never do. I just keep like 3k in my bank account.
