Orientation is the better part of a week... It is a cram course in chemical tanks with miller policy thrown in for good measure. They cover the basics of how to get paid, DOT rules and regs, and checking your truck out if buying from miller. If you are new to tanks it will be information overload... Don't worry just try to grasp as much as you can. There is a 100 question test at the end. When you pass the test you are an official miller driver. There is a week of in cab training for those that are new to tanks.

Yes... Been with miller about 18 months now... Miller trained me for the tanks and I went with the truck purchase program. I have refinanced the truck with my bank since then.... I like monthly payments instead of weekly and I don't like the same guy that gives me loads holding the title to the truck. If you guys think of more questions, I'll do what I can to help answer them. Good luck.

If it's not getting to much into your personal business can you tell me how much you averaged as far as what you put in your pocket after all the expenses were taken out before you refinanced you truck

I average 14k to 17k gross to the truck per month... I see about 50% of that after fuel, insurance, tag, permits and ez pass. My miller truck payments were $460 a week. Hope that helps.

I would choose Baton Rouge terminal to run out of... Lots of good loads close to the yard. As an owner op your time out is strictly a business decision. I find that two weeks out as a minimum works well... I stay out longer if I'm going to want a week or more off. Miller has no requirement for how much you will work.
