I am an O/O leased to AW Transport for a year and a half now. I was just as skeptical as the guys listed before, but I took a chance and could Not be Happier that I did. The owners Jordan & Gantcho could not be more honest or stand behind their O/O's more.
Say at what you want about Chicago Carriers, most of them are just like you think, but AW Transport is like no other I've been leased to before. They pay 90% just like their add says. They forward every O/O the rate confirmation that they receive, directly from the broker. There's NO Guessing, NO Regenerated rate cons. They pay you exactly when they say in 24hrs and their pay settlements are very easy to read & understand all in black & white. In my opinion based on my experience with them, their GREAT!!
I have also had some very costly breakdowns and they have been there every time without hesitation to help get me back on the road ASAP! Another thing I like is that they don't hire everyone. I forget if it 10+ years of verifiable experience and a good PSP score, which is great, so we don't end up with Rookies that ruin a Carriers Safety Score.
That's all I can think of right now AW Transport does it the way it should be done! -

Would like to know where they have you running most and average gross there. Have considered aw for a while now

Bob2477,
One of the things I like about AW is they will let you run where ever you prefer. They will tell you what kind of freight and rate they get from the different areas and then you choose. You can change on any day. You don't have to commit to a specific region or lane. I myself prefer running from Midwest, south, southwest and the entire eastcoast and Northeast.
Now as I said that's where I run, I know some guys here that only run west. It's all whatever you prefer. My gross last year was just shy of 240k. Hope this was helpful -
I like the people I run for, but not much choice in direction of loads. The 24 pay is attractive also. Have talked to two other drivers. They were both happy. Sometimes these folks get a little too northeast happy. I hate it there

If jordan pulled reefer, I would have switched already

Thank you very much for your comments Big Phil. I've seen the ads for AW on craigslist and also visited their site which does look very sketchy, but are you pulling cars or a dry van?
-
I pulled Van with AW for a year and a half. I have since moved over to Heavy Haul & Oversized, still with AW. Heavy Haul has been a bit slow this past month. I'm kinda missing doing Van. AW has Great rates for Van. Great Company to work for, for guys that want to make money. They're easy to deal with, very personable and most important they don't play any games with our money. We get the rate confirmation forwarded right to us from the broker. No guessing, No taking off the top and regenerating a rate confirmation. Straight forward & honest. I like that, a lot. Also I had a major breakdown and they covered the repair $11k and I paid it back in 3 months. They never hounded me for it, and were very flexible with payments. I have worked at a bunch of different places, and in my personal opinion, AW Transport is a GREAT company to lease on to.
Tjackson4 and Boy Howdey Thank this. -
