thats worthy of a conversation with ICA and their boss.
I fail to be able to see OR understand why it (NAT) matters on IC choice side of things? I can see it on the legacy side.

They say it's to know what kind of availability/capacity is in an area. Of course, it does them absolutely no good with a driver like me, who will oftentimes deadhead out of an area with several loads that I COULD take, but WON'T take because they're too heavy for my truck/going places I don't want to go.

Thats one of the benefits having a low truck payment. You can pick and choose frieght better. I always get a message saying they push my NAT out. I think the reason is, i book my loads as i go.

capacity/avaiilablity etc still doesnt make sense. They cant force a load on a IC choice driver can they?

another thing I dont understand period , is when on assignment mods they screw all that info up. I asked once if they could see what I input on the NAT page. They said they could, sooooooo why dont you put the same info BACK IN when you mod my assignment?

Yup, I'm the same way, usually book a load after delivering (or just before delivering) my previous load. Rarely do I have multiple loads on me. If I do I almost always regret it because I end up finding a better load I wish I would have assigned lol.

Haven't figured that one out either. I think it has something to do with the way the computer calculates stuff. When they modify the assignment it redoes all the calculations and resets your NAT/ETAs to what the computer believes you can do.

I don't even bother setting ETAs any more unless it's WAY off. When I arrive at the receiver I put in a time near what time it actually is when I arrive and finish out the rest of the workflow. Most of my stuff is on drop windows and as far as I'm concerned if I get it there within that window it's all good.
