Thank you for that explanation. I'll Def ask not that i want one but hearing that makes me think I'll wait a while to see if it's worth going there or not now. I think landstar takes to big of a cut and i don't do flat bed. I just really wanted to get away from dealing with dispatchers.

hey Camgirl, i'm interested in these other places you mentioned. I have over a decade experience. I was reading this forum about RoadRunner and was interested until i noticed they changed the contracts. I filled out an app and it seems the recruiter is trying to lean me towards Bruenger.. I live in Las Vegas but was more interested in RoadRunner since they have terminals down in Southern Cali, closer to home. Do you know much about this RoadRunner and Bruenger deal they have going on?

    Thanks for any info

Been home for couple weeks now. Watched Frozen so many times I can just about quote it out lol. Signed up for FMCSA Restart Study. What I didn't like is the email they send out calls it a Fatigue Study. Not sure if that is an honest mistake or if they blatantly are already biased against the recission of the July 2013 Restart rules.

I am about to get on board w RR. Orientation is Tuesday 1/19 at Commerce. I've been nervous and doubtful about it. Even when Tony my recruiter assured me good. Reading your thread was very calming for me. Thanx. You should try writing as a part time truck driver/author. Scottie, my other concern is the truck he got me. 2011 Cascadia, 411k miles.

Yes that is where I did orientation too. 1.5 days. They have a pretty cool setup. Bigscreen TV and a rotating camera that pans around the room uploading a live streaming video to the TV that other people have the same setup are in orientation at other locations like Wisconsin, Georgia and Texas. So everyone can attend orientation closer to home rather than traveling across the country.

I think my guy's name was Kevin? The recruiter can email you a copy of the T2T rate sheets. They'll have the origin terminals listed across the top and the 48 states listed vertically on the left side of the page. Just find the origin terminal then move down to the state delivering to to determine the rate. The cheaper ones are $0.95 but some of them are up in the $1.60's before fuel surcharge. Plus we are getting a raise in March.

Watched Showtime for heavyweight championship boxing last night. Deontay Wilder won the WBC title. Such a pleasure seeing an actual boxing match rather than a hugging and wrapping up match. Wilder kept the champion in check with his long jabs all 12 rounds. Plenty of power punches got through to the champion whose head snapped around many times. First couple rounds I swear I could see Mike Tyson sitting a couple rows back from ringside but soon after his seat was empty. Anyway sporting news is predicting Wilder (the first American in 7 years to win a championship belt) will be a big star. He certainly came out of his room dressed unusually-- as a Roman Gladiator.
