Has anyone constantly got this message even after replacing the antenna and power dock?? I'm about to go on my 4 docking station, already on my 3rd antenna. Is mounting the XM on the dash causing this issue?

I use a rubber band to hold my antenna piece into the unit...pain in the butt and I refuse to buy another antenna. Last one I had never had a problem...used it two years.

They used to sell a small metal plate with a turn screw to mount the plate on the mirror and then place the magnet ant. on it outside the truck. Might try that or if not next time your at home have some one tack weld you something like that and spray it the color of your truck.

Yes, I use to get it all the time, what I did, I found at a truck stop, it's a flat piece of metal with a hook, that you peel the backing off and stick it some where to hang something on, I placed it on top of the roof of my truck and put the small antenna that comes with the unit, and never had a problem sense

Its 1 of 3 things....Bad antenna, bad cradle, or bad radio unit. The vibrations from the truck will do this to your radio overtime. I have had this happen a few times and every time the issue has been the radio unit itself, the cradle and antenna were fine. The bad thing is that the only way to find out whats wrong is to buy a new radio kit.

Call Xm tell them to shut it off ..
They will ask why and tell them it is broken and your not going to pay for something you can not use.
They will offer you a new unit if you will pay the shipping $ 9.00
A trucker antenna from TSS is only $39.95 heavy duty coax and don't pinch it in the door or glass.....

    lovesthedrive Thanks this.
