    Do you already have to have your hazmat to get hired at Wal-Mart or can you get them after getting hired? Been waiting for openings at the dc nearest me for a long while but haven't gotten my hazmats. Of course, now they are hiring!😱

    Instead of asking....why not just go get it? Then you got it. How hard is that? A bit pricey I understand, and yes...be nice to have someone else pick up the tab...but having the endorsement is a GREAT bargaining chip.

    Not looking for someone else to pick up the tab! Been with current co for 6 yrs and don't need it so just kept putting it off. Just asking cause these jobs won't last long.

    better to have it an not need it. than need it and not have it... I have never dropped my hazmat since 1983... just for that reason

    just apply and stop being cheap what is it like 100 for the fingerprints and 5 for the new license because your scared you might let a good opportunity slip through the cracks. good luck to you and keep us updated if you get an interview or job.

    The point is that if the answer is NO.. you screwed yourself.. had you gotten and kept the HM Endorsement it would be a non-issue... good luck though.

    • Interstate (Class A) Commercial Drivers License with Hazmat endorsement (including cleared background check) or will obtain HAZMAT endorsement (with cleared background check) within 60 days of a conditional job offer.

    Best to have it or start the process of obtaining your Hazmat endorsement before applying. A lot of applicants apply for driving jobs here, so the more qualified you are the better your chances of being hired.
