ntc350 bc cummins no power in high gears?

    To check restriction you tee in before the pump. 0 usually means sucking air -4 to -6 is usually ok. Anything above and you have a restriction. There should be a diagnostic receptacle to check fuel pressure. How ever you can have pressure and not enough flow. I don't buy wrong rears period just doesn't add up. Any truck steps out better in direct than overdrive with a load.

    A lot of folks think that a big cam is a big cam and swap parts at random. That doesn't always work out. Also they could have put cam follower gaskets on it and not realized you have to shim them to set correct injection timing.

    The engine he has is probably one of the worst for needing exact parts to run properly, even the injector travel is unique.

    Connect fuel pressure line where plug is in side of fuel solenoid. Underload can be bobtail, they won't produce max psi parked. Off the hip your looking for about 160 psi. If it is nowhere close, poor boy way, connect a radiator psi tester to the steel line under the aftercooler going to the fuel pump. It requires an end with a #4 male JIC fitting, pump it up to 20 psi and test drive. If the fuel psi is low do you still have 20 psi? That will answer the question of which way to go at this crossroad,let us know. Woreout: Big Mabel is sharp do you still have her?

    Yep I do. I can't see ever parting with her or "MAMA CRIED" my red and black 359 either.
