He could.... I am at 7.2 with an R monster with me running 68 up to Olathe. But I am still to have my 200k over head done. Just turned 200k on the way up. But if it happens it will be after I come back from Cali next week.

Oh and I guess JCT got a good deal on Carrier Reefers. They are replacing old Thermos with them. Had 5826 with a new 7400x or was it 7100 x..... Oh well either way it was a Carrier with only 16 hours run time on it. LoL

My 2012 did the SAME thing. My suggestion is probably not a popular one; but I just rolled w/ mine and learned to ignore it. I had no intention of paying off my first truck. I wanted to do my 90 and then get into one I did want as my own. To ME (and this is just me), any downtime, or repair or whatever on that "90 day truck" was just good money after bad and I can put up w/ just about ANYTHING in my truck for 90 days. Except my wife. Three days and I'm pulling the last six hairs I have out! Any other breathing organism (pets, etc) for that matter. I roll alone b/c I LIKE MY OWN WORLD TO BE MY WAY.

Ahem. One thing that did help in the ignoring the annoying Qualcomm alerts about my refer being off, frying the chicken in the box, my trailer careening through a cornfield w/o me and the various and sundry other QC Quirks in that truck was (I'm about to get serious): I learned that if I didn't clear the alarm, alert or whatever; I just let Nancy (my nick name for the QC - Nancy The Nag) say her peace the first time, and hit the HOME button on the dash - not the handheld, after each DIFFERENT erroneous warning, and then left the thing totally alone - she shut up for the rest of the time I was driving. If only I could do that w/ my wife, maybe she could ride w/ me. Nah. Never work. I've tried pointing the computer mouse at her and clicking it, the TV remote, the garage door opener - you name it. I even pushed on her nose a little thinking maybe THAT was HER "home" button. She just sneezed and said "WTF?" Nothing works. Maybe Steel is right about a hammer. Nah. It'd just break the hammer and ruin a perfectly good Estwing. Sigh.

OH, and that trick doesn't work w/ the QC if you are in violation of HOS. Nothing will shut Nancy up then but the aforementioned Estwing or shutting down. "AMINAL HAS VIOLATED THE HOURS. . . AMINAL HAS HAS HAS. . . A A A AAAMINNNNNAAALL IS IN IN IN VIIIIOOOLAAA . . . IF YOU CONTINUE TO DRIVE . . ." Where'd I put my hammer?

Just sayin' - for me: my first truck I didn't do SQUAT I didn't have to and rolled every single mile I could, saved every penny I could and just put up w/ the thing and all it's quirks knowing it was just for 90 days. My new truck? The one I'm gonna pay off? I pamper her properly. My wife? Where's my hammer?!

    Just kidding.

I like my Estwing Hammer too much to hurt it that way.

Ok, Ok, OK. I really DO LOVE my wife and treasure her and our time together is a priceless joy in my life. I was just funnin' about that part. Prolly shoulda ended w/ THAT. My bad. Today is my birthday and it's the 15th one in row I have spent in a t/s or rest area or customer parking lot or motel (t/s this time - crappy one too) and I got a little kooky (VERY short trip for me to start with). My apologies to all wives, women, transgendered whatevers and such and all. There. Peace out Y'all!

OH, fuel $2.259 at the Grand Casino in Shawnee - I-40, OK X-178 if you are that way and (the Megas are Killin' us) $2.63 at the Love's just down the road. About 50 gallons away from Russell's in NM where it's $2.70. Then running much higher westbound across NM and AZ.

Ran from Louisville, KY to Laredo, TX via I-65, I-40, I-30, I-35 with 42k in the crappy non aero "R" trailer that I can't seem to get rid of. Managed to pull out 7.78mpg on that load. The only fuel stop was in Louisville. Got to Laredo and filled up there for $2.59 a gallon (cheapest in the area). Got loaded with 44.4k of avacados on the same #### "R" trailer. Yes, my max load is 45k lbs with full tanks. Pushing the 80k mark, but loaded California legal. Ran to Phoenix via US-83, US-90, I-10. Filled up in Phoenix at $2.45 a gallon (not gonna get it any cheaper between there and Cali.) Managed to pull out 7.85mpg on that fill up. Currently the QC is saying 8.4mpg. It was saying 8.2mpg just before the fill up in Phoenix. All this is running 57mph at barely above 1100rpm.

The funny thing is I left a few hours before another JCT truck at the same shipper in Laredo. He passed me twice yesterday and three times today. Tonight we are parked next to each other at the same truck stop in Coachella, CA. He got here a whole 20min before I did and is going to the same consignee in Santa Paula, CA. I think it's funny how he was driving 65+mph the whole time, passed me 5 times total, and he parked only 20min before I did. Going to the same place with the same load and similar weights. Yet, he called me a liar about the 7.85mph and refused to look at my numbers I have on my phone app. Kept telling me that I was really getting 6.9mpg because that what he was getting. He is driving a '12 and I have a '15. He is driving the truck out of the sweet spot range and I am driving within the sweet spot. He still wouldn't listen. Kept telling him that if back it down to 1200-1250 rpm that the truck would do much better on mpg even with 44k in the box. But, still didn't want to hear it. So, I just told him that it's his money he is burning out the stack and if that is what he wants to do, then have at it.

Couple of snap shots from the Let's Truck app/website that I use to track my fuel.
