Eck i wouldn't. As long as he stays in maryland and south he should be okay. I haven't gone north of Burlington in a couple weeks I exhausted from that area.

On stop 2 of 2 of the P&G to stores promo deal. 4 pallets to go on this stop but apparently its lunch break. Great. Easy load though and kinda fun. No rush or lines at or full parking lots to negotiate. Won't complain about an extra $100 stop off pay either. I think I'm gonna drop my empty at the OC and go home after this. Why not!

Just starting my third week. Spent the night in my own (home) bed last night. Enjoying coffee with the wife this morning. Got a shorty headed to Midway, Ga in the morning....but then....the pits. There's a few decent loads, but they're not available yet. Hoping my timing for one of them is good. Gonna run a few errands around the house today before heading back to the truck this evening for an early start in the morning.
No complaints just yet. Revenue last week was right at $3800. This week will suck in comparison. But going thru the house (third time in two weeks) offsets that, at least for me. And freight will be better again soon.
Truck doesn't yet have 5k miles, but will have tomorrow. Continues to run well, averaging over 7.5 mpg with most of my loads at or over 40k. Only thing is I'm gonna have to get the black Qualcomm box replaced, as I have to constantly unplug and replug the power cord to wake it up. I'll run myself thru Charlotte for a few days home in a few weeks and have it taken care of unless it becomes more problematic than it is now.
Especially if you're in the nasty weather, take care out there!TennMan, mickimause, dieselfuelonly and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm gonna take at least a few days off and wait out this fricking storm. GA was an absolute nightmare to grab loads out of, probably because everyone ran south to avoid the storms. I'm not gonna fight that battle. Don't have to any more.
48 - usually there are some loads that come out of one of SNI's cross-docks that go up to Kohls in Winchester, VA. It's a total cluster**** yard but unless you've got a long truck that won't turn worth a crap like mine you'll be OK. You can also grab loads out of that area that run down to Lowes/HD in South GA. I wouldn't recommend going south though. I just got stuck down there for 2 days.
Actually there's one up on the load board now. I saw it earlier and it's still there. Ships out of Port Wentworth and goes to Winchester, so my bet is like I said above, SNI logistics to Kohls. Super light, 1.70 a mile, 27 miles from Midway... I'd be all over that.48Packard, TennMan and mickimause Thank this. -
I'm with you on the storm.. I'm going to sit it out too. Will be back on the road 2/9, in the mean time I will be getting stuff fixed on truck.
mickimause and dieselfuelonly Thank this. -
I'm gonna sit it out too.................In the driver's seat but I'm trying to avoid the North East like it has EBOLA.........

Storm was overrated. Massholes got nailed, but they were saying 2-3 feet in NY but they got 6 inches. Philly was supposed to get 12-18 and they got 4 inches. Long island got like 14 inches though. Just another over sensationalized overreaction like usual.

Better be safe than sorry. I always take heed to the warnings. Those folks in Alabama a couple of years ago, didn't take that tornado Warning serious.
