So I was fired on the January 9th and as far as I can tell legally, I spent about 11 days unemployed until I hooked up with a temp agency. The question is what company do I list on my logs for those 11 days that I was unemployed?

    Thanks,

Exactly! This is why you fill out the past 7 days sheet. Date the sheet back 7 days, and put zeros in the time worked...and then fill in your last estimated date/time you left duty. On logbook....fill in CURRENT employer and information, draw a line across "Off-Duty" and in remarks fill in dates for seven days back and your CURRENT home terminal. That covers your last seven days, and that is all DOT requires your CURRENT employer to do.

    Thanks guys,

I'm making a run to Shreveport tomorrow and that means state lines which usually means weigh stations. I just wanted to make sure I was up to date on my logs.

I just put a line accross the top "off duty" line. In the bottom section I write: " Off Duty, Anywhere, USA (wherever you are at), from 1/20/15 though 1/28/15"
That what i was trained to do way back when and I have never had dot say anything about it.
