    Now that's a deadhead...Miami to almost Atlanta...

I was on Friday's board and asked Outbound for either a short run for the weekend or a home load for home time. I was offered Loveland, University Park or Villa Rica...all Saturday loads...and Villa Rica wasn't close enough to deadhead home...I am going to Villa Rica. It seems that since I didn't say home time load only, a load home was not the priority...I understand. So I took Villa Rica and said that once I get back next week then I will need a home time load for sure. Not gonna' blame them for this because a) it's January, and freight in January is like a Chinese buffet 5 minutes before closing, you take what you can get... b) I offered them the opportunity to keep me moving, which they did. I wouldn't want that to backfire and I start seeing months like I had last year. If you count the miles I turned in yesterday, not counting the carryover from December, I turned mid 12k. (This weeks paycheck says I was paid for over 12k for the month)...for January...I won't complain one little bit about being offered freight to keep me moving one more week.

Are you looking at the ytd figures? If so, that is the dollar amount paid not the miles you ran. If your ytd number shows 6166 then you were paid for 12,332 miles. (12,332 x $0.50)

Wow...they almost had me...getting paid for something I am an expert at. After all, I've been told by many people that I am full of ####...but then I read that you had to live in the poopiest part of the country....darn. Though I had finally found my calling. So I guess all those Patriots fans aren't talking ####...they're warming up for work...they forgot to mention in the story, prior to coming in for work, you must obstain from eating corn..(I heard that eeeeeeew).....so, I'm done talking ####...

Poly loads out of Houston, was it Pol-Tex?? Is there a sort of pattern where they tend to go or is it just a crap shoot of where they may go?? From what I have been following it seems the majority out of Minnesota either go East or West, Grand Prairie, pretty much anywhere and out of Nevada they seem to go to the Northwest, so I was just wandering if anyone has noticed a semi pattern of where the loads out of Pol-Tex usually go.
