You are on the Right Dock version and show LTM in the system. Don't know why it is not pushing to your device.
On your 520, under Preferences/General/Contact & About info - click on the OS version button (lower right) and tell me the map data version.

Mark

recently installed the latest update for my 730 and it seems to have brought back the little grey error popups... haven't seen one of those in a while. also no longer shows the distance under the "+" when zooming in/out.

The navi.exe error RM is working on. Sorry you are getting them.
I suggest for right now, go to Preferences/Route/Junction View Distance - toggle left and turn off.
Thanks,

Mark, just to be sure the update went smoothly, are you able to post the most current versions for the 720 so that I can verify I am all updated and everything went smoothly?
Thanks -
Thank you, Mark, for going above and beyond to help us through all the frustration. The ability to send in corrections to Tell Rand was a big factor in our decision to go with the TND-720 in late 2013. We didn't know about this forum then, so just knowing that you are also here to help is the icing on the cake. Before the map update process started, the NavTeq map data were obviously outdated, and it is going to take time to fix that. We know that as new roads are built and old ones changed around, any mapping system will get outdated. But if nobody does anything about it, it will only get worse. We appreciate the opportunity to work together to make the TND line more accurate. That is more than we ever got from the competition (who shall remain nameless).
And now for my version of what has gone wrong: earlier this week, I clicked the "snowflake" to open the dock to see if the new maps had been released yet (I've done this several times before with no problems), and my Norton IS threw a conniption and said that RNDDock.exe was a virus and deleted it from my laptop. It did not give me any options for rescue. Our TND-720 was with Hubby in the truck, so I just downloaded the dock from randmcnally.com and waited until today to reinstall. So after Hubby got home today, I reinstalled the dock. The process asked me if I wanted to do a backup, and I said yes. After installation was complete, the dock opened and I did the regular update. After that, the dock acted like the TND was not connected. It gave me an error message that simply said "Corrupted Device". I see now that I should have done the map update first and then the regular update. If I do that now, will that fix the problem? I will more than likely have to go to a friend's house to download the new maps (we don't have high-speed internet at home; we have what I think you have been calling an "air card"). If that won't fix the problem, what do I need to do? Thanks again for all you do to help all of us. -
Ah, they forgot to mention that little tidbit of info to me.
Thanks,
Mark -
Version should be 3322 for the software.
Thanks,
Mark -
Just to make sure that I have the latest map version could you tell us what version number it should be when updated?
-
Suggest you try to download the maps first then do the update and see if it corrects itself. If it does not then you might have to delete a folder (hidden) and force the updates again.
Sometimes right clicking on the "snowflake" and exiting the Dock and then starting again cures it.
I would highly suggest Home High Speed Internet. An Air card would do, but you might not like the download times and stand more of a chance of getting a corrupted file on download.
Let me know how it goes and if you need more help. I most certainly can remote into the laptop and fix the issues.
Thanks,
Mark
