Patty, unless you can rent out a small apartment, or find room and board for the week, then go home weekends, or unless you can buy a new electric car (Chevy Volt for instance), or buy a very good Hybrid, I'd also say to travel so many miles, and exhausted on your return trip home? Just may not really be worth it.

One of the things some here may not understand is the cost of living in your state. For instance, here in New England, $175.00 per day will not pay for my gasoline, my electric bills, my gas heating bills, and food bills. That $175. per day, only amounts to $875. per week, and that is before taxes too.

Here I would need at the very least, $1,000 to just keep my head above water, but where YOU LIVE, things may be cheaper?

    Otherwise, I too say forgedaboudit

Get a used motor scooter then gas won't be a problem.

Get rid of that gas guzzler and buy a fuel efficient car, then drive for Uber.com and set your own hours.

Until she is riding home, falls asleep, and falls off? LOL

many years ago, a motorcyclist had a health issue. Maybe a heart attack, I cannot remember. He fell of his bike, a big Honda Gold Wing. His bike went on for another mile (??) before it came to a rest, siding onto a guard rail. Didn't flip, didn't drop. People had a tough time finding the guy, they thought he was where his bike was!

The gyroscopic nature of the bike, kept it going, after he fell off. Don't know if he died, or lived.

This may be the story I was speaking of:

Nope I wouldn't consider moving for a job.Like I said I have my father to consider plus the pets.I remember back in the day dad would do everything, run circles around the younger crowd.I use to literally have to jog just to keep up with him when we would go shopping and such, now he can barely get around.Ray and I are having problems and he refuses to wanna even try and work things out so I guess he'll be moving out when he gets his taxes back.I'd be lieing if I didn't say I wasn't scared and having to take care of the house and everything else when he passes.Theirs a company ill be going to tomorrow and talk to the boss. That pays $19.00 an hr.

UBER is a sort of FREELANCE TAXI SERVICE , I would not even offer a job to anyone that required them to drive more than 20 miles per day just to pick a truck up for local work unless they could take it home Monday to Thursday and have it in the yard on weekends for service ecte

If you wear that mini-skirt while riding the motor scooter, there's a trick to keeping the skirt down. Modify a pair of suspenders so you can clip one end to your socks and the other end to the skirt. This way your skirt doesn't blow up and your socks don't slide down.

Yep and companies won't reimburse you for the gas.If recruiter keeps trying to talk me into the job,i'm going to ask him if he would drive 70 miles to work every day.

Hi patty, you sound like a great daughter. Nursing homes are pretty sad places. Spring is around the corner, (not sure which corner) and lots of local jobs will open up soon.
