Well this is how I get everything done I pulled a flatbed in the 90's but I was young then now I am 58 and had open heart surgery about 3 months ago and have not worked out since then and have lost over 25 pounds of muscle, I am now getting back into driving and I like flatbed work and I applied with TMC and prayed that if this is for me God let it happen but if not take it from me, so to my point if God helps put you there he will get you through it. Thats my story and I am sticking to it.

There are better outfits but it has nothing to do with chrome. That's silly talk.

Well from what I know about them (and never worked for them), (TMC) at one time, they gave you polish/wax and towels. YOU HAD TO polish their trucks. Now for me, I'll wash them, if they supply a wash bay, or provide an account number at say a Blue Beacon. But polish/wax? UH, NO!

Now to be honest, I do not know if polishing/waxing is still mandated by them. So, when he said "too much chrome", I personally understood that!

You will need to ask a TMC driver that, my friend. But if one wants to work there, I am sure you'll be polishing yours!

I apologize. I didn't look close enough to see that someone drug up a 5 year old post.

Yeah, isn't that as much fun as a barrel of newts?

I saw that too, but I thought the o/p came back.

He is right. I am not going to flame TMC in the forums lest a TMC fanboi report me lol. All I am going to tell you is do some research about TMC. I would consider Melton Truck Lines or Keim TS.

But to be perfectly honest I think its time to hang up flat bedding and move onto something else other than flat bedding. Your body would be happier given your situation. You sound determined and strong in spirit....however, there is a time to hang up the binders and straps and move onto pulling something else. This happens to all flatbedders at some point. It will even happen to me someday:biggrin_2553:.

    Good Luck
