THE ADVENTURES MK III - Still doing it my way

So, made my delivery in VA this morning then sat around till Frito finished unloading another trailer so I could take that as an empty, 'cause there are never any empties in this area of VA. I booked a weird load that picked up from nearby and just drops as a relay back in NC. Whatever. Doesn't pay that great but it's a really short run and it keeps me moving. Didn't want to miss one of my usual loads and be stuck at the truckstop looking for something.

It was supposed to be a live but I showed up and it's a drop and hook. Sweet. Drop the empty, hook up to the loaded... and it won't move. Everything is just completely locked up. No way it would be cold enough here for frozen brakes, especially all 4, but I still got under there and banged around just in case. Nope. Scratched a mark on the pushrods and released the brakes and nothing was moving. Tried swapping the airlines around just in case something got swapped. Nope. Dunno. Asked the customer who asked me to ask SNI who asked me to ask emergency maintenance who asked me what I wanted to do (Jesus...) so my vote went to swapping the load in the broken trailer over to the good empty I brought in, and then send someone out to fix the broken one. Good enough for me. Just sitting around now waiting for them to move the load over.

Another live load in NC tomorrow then it's off to south GA.
