Can't you skype with a smart phone? Seems some of these things are redundant. Just got off a conference call with a driver using his GPS as a blue tooth hands free. Worst phone call I've ever been involved in. It picked up so much noise in the background it was useless.

Some hardware changes were made to that circuit to allow the rear view cam to be seen via the Slice.

Why Skype with a little smart phone when you have a tablet that can. In fact every tablet can do it except the one new to the market trying to be a tablet... Guess it shouldn't be called a tablet if it lacks so many features of one... Front facing cameras are normal now...

Question is it true the tablet uses a polarized screen? If so that makes using polarized sunglasses impossible to use.

Maybe they can add mirroring functionality. If you have a smart phone, use the phones camera and the screen gets mirrored to the GPS. Not sure if this could be done or not.

If it is truly polarized and you can't see the screen with your polarized sunglasses on, rotate the screen 90°

also depends on where you have it mounted. And if your using dash cam. I have split windshield so it's on passenger side. If I angled it anymore I'd be dash camming off the side of the truck instead of in front of me. Wish they would have put camera on top left instead of right. Or maybe camera on both sides and you could either choose which one to record from or use both so you can have a wide area to dash cam see both sides that would be cool

You can buy a trucking GPS with the same features but much better routing for $279.
Truckers GPS from Canada with great customer support.

    Tyroneharris Thanks this.

not to be a knock down to rand. but i don't understand why anyone would want to shell out $500 for the rand tablet. when much cheaper options can be had to do the same thing.
