Anybody familiar with these guys? They look like a standard LTL carrier, covering parts of the midwest and the Northeast. P&D during the day, linehaul at night, like pretty much all of the LTL outfits that are hiring right now. Compensation looks decent. I tried searching the forums here and nothing came up, maybe because they aren't nationwide and aren't as well known. They're busy around here though, I see their green trucks running everywhere (Internationals unfortunately, but I could live with that). Would be good to hear from someone who drives (or drove) for them. They have a terminal very close to me and I'm headed over there this morning to talk with the manager.

My wife and I worked for them out of their Chicago terminal as a team and hated it. Lasted a month before we quit. Experiences will vary by terminal. Solo drivers I think might have a better experience because it's more of a solo company than team.

I'm only really looking at local daytime jobs, but I know they have line haul for solo and teams. I didn't ask much about line haul. Interviewed today for their P&D position, similar package to ODFL. Good hourly rate, but straight time all the way through. They're a much bigger company than I thought.

On the plus side I wouldn't have to start at nights at $16/hour like at UPSF, ABF, and YRC. Also they try to keep you in an assigned unit (which you share with a night time line haul driver obviously) because they think it's safer than slip seating. I agree.

Downside is not getting paid overtime after 8, but that seems to be the deal with a lot of the big non-union companies.

Varies by location, My AO @ ABF during probation it's only $14hr. After 90 working days get into the union, Starting wage is $21.xx July 2015 get a 2% increase nationwide Per the contract... In 2016 another 2% increase.

Not familiar with R&L pay, Also not trying to hijack the thread. Good luck OP, Keep us updated.

Varies by location, My ##### as well. When I was at YRC it was 21.07 on days doing P&D with overtime after 8 hours. You need to do some serious research there pal. And yes not getting paid overtime after 8 hours your cheating yourself out of a lot of money. No one at UPS Freight with a CDL is making $16.00 per hour working nights. Thats not even contractual.
