I seriously doubt the 8000 lease averages .73 a mile profit.

I feel bad for you guys that have been at ACT for a while, personally I don't feel the company has the right to force lease drivers into having cameras. Definitley not you guys that leased prior to the announcement anyway.

    Good luck to you all!

ACT rewrote the leases early last year and if everybody read them when they had to sign them it was in there about the cameras.

Yep I said then that's what they were gonna do. Then it went quiet for so long i thought they'd given up on it. I guess not. But between the cameras and the constantly to low fuel surcharge and us losing freight that i loved I'm done. And for the last few weeks i haven't even seen a load or offer of anything less than 40k. All that weight is making my profits drop like a rock.

the idea of the cameras, doesn't bother me. That's just the direction things are going in the age of blame anyone.
i turned in my truck yesterday, since i found much better job, other wise i'd still be there. Operations is quite dysfunctional and that was why i looked to begin with, but i stuck with it after i was done with the worthless fleet manager and got a fairly decent one. But operation issues would always be an issue. i've been driving since 97 and every job has it's BS, it's just a matter of what you will tolerate. Overall working at ACT was decent

I have no problem with a camera in my own truck. I have a problem with act being the one in control of it. I have seen them fire both drivers and office staff merely cause they didn't like them. I see the cameras being used as a weapon more then a tool of safety.

That said I'm not real well liked there. I speak my mind and i work really hard holding myself to the highest standards. When they only half ### things or screw me i call them out on it. I don't expect everyone to work to my standards....But i do expect them to at least try. That's why i fully expect they'll use this as a weapon against people like me.

Fall into line or your out. Operations here in the last year has become ridiculous in their methods. While talking with your dispatcher on the phone about a issue he has to e-mail customer service the problem. The funny part is CS sets right next to him. When I ask why don't you just ask her, his comment is this is the way it has to be done . That's great they have all the time in the world, I dont.
