THE ADVENTURES MK III - Still doing it my way

I woke up in Malvern Arkansas and Ice was everywhere on I 30 til about Hope Arkansas then just rain into Texas...........

 

I'm sure it's been covered, but I admit to being lazy this evening....

The headlights on this truck are of the usefulness level of a candle with a small mirror. Any ideas? Adjustment? Replacement? Dynamite?

My bad....15 Cascadia. Lenses are perfect. Headlights just suck.

 

Said it does not fit my application.

 

Mine work fine in my 15 crapcadia
But stop at wally world and get a set for a good price about half the cost of a truck stop.
I picked up a pair of Sylvania I think it was for the 11 I had, made a world of difference you can get the low beams in different brightnesses.
Even though I got a pair in between I still was getting drivers flashing me to turn off my high beams

The Cascadia has "H7" blubs and they sell them there.
I know someone who put them in his Cascadia, I ordered some myself for a Kenworth

 

Putting HID bulbs in a headlight housing meant for halogens is why. Halogen bulbs have the cutoff for the beam built into the bulb, not the housing. HID bulbs basically glow, without a filament, so they don't have the cutoff. Proper HID housings have the cutoff built into the housing, usually a projector beam, so they don't glare oncoming drivers. When you see other drivers with very bright, glaring lights on low, they have added these HIDs.

Doing this allows you to see better, but creates horrible glare for oncoming drivers. Not recommended.

 

Fourth week in a row where something idiotic has happened to severely limit my income.

12-hour load at the first of two pickups. Second stop puts the wrong merchandise on, and has to pull it off...all 1000+ individual cartons of it.

My settlements have been (rounding) 1800, 1600, 1200, 1100....this week will be about 600. Next week I get my first servicing, then going home next weekend regardless of whether I make enough to make the payment or not.

I believe an emotional reset is in order. Not being able to get thru even a week without having to scrounge is not acceptable. Not four weeks in a row, anyway. Truck is still fine....mileage is good. I'm just beset by bad luck in spades.
