My Prime INC Experience. (A Running Log)

First of all knowing this information isn't forcing any carrier to "bend over" for you. Its policies they should be following without you needing to remind them of it. While I agree with you that the link I posted didn't exactly relate to piermechanic's post, the information is however still valid for people to know.

Second, I will come into any thread I want to and share information with drivers that will benefit them out on the road. You know as well as I do misinformed drivers are often the ones having to "bend over" for the carrier, and not the other way around. You might be right, and Prime just may have a stellar record for getting drivers home. But that one time they don't get a driver home on the agreed upon hometime date, that driver knows they don't have to just sit there and take it. Knowing what a carrier can and can't do is vital information drivers need to know.

 

I was just responding to IP who felt the need take the piss out of me for sharing information. If you don't want bickering in your thread than hold him to the same standard. I'm going to respect your thread now as you asked and not continue with IP. I'm sorry if I've derailed your thread.

 

That's OK. We folks with a million miles under our belt do need someone brand new to the industry to let us know how things really work.

 

Will Prime contact your current employer when you apply? I ask because I'm worried about my job finding out I'm looking for a better job and just giving me the boot right then and possibly a negative referral. They have been known to let people go right then when people have giving them their two week notice. I'd like to leave on good terms, but if they find out before I mention it, it may not go well.

 

Prime will have to contact your present employer to verify your history; federal law and protection against some possible future litigation require it. Perhaps if you explain your concerns to recruiting they could leave it until everything else checks out?
