    Notes on new version:

Not sure what to think about the turn chime. Didn't know wtf it was the first couple of times & will probably turn it off.

Hate the extra pop-up menus when I add a via. If I'm adding a via, I don't need to reorder the trip ######. And I'm still empty or loaded -- whatever I was before adding the via -- so you don't need to ask that either... If I want to add a non intermediate stop or reorder the trip, I'll do that from the multi-stop trip menu. IMO, adding a via should be a minimally invasive procedure done on the fly.

I'm glad truck speed limits are back, but the i80 in Utah needs work. There is a section in SLC with a 55mph truck speed limit that the unit didn't catch. Then later (east of SLC) there was a stretch of 55mph truck limit it had, but failed to recognize where that lower speed limit was lifted.

The TA in Ft. Bridger, WY is still getting a dirt road warning.

I like the trip overview display changes & ability to zoom.

I find annoying the animated right to left screen/window changes when you're navigating through menus & submenus

I'm updating the progress on my terminally ill 720 - It's living in my computer bag for an indefinite period.
I simply do not have the time to mess with it. I have never had an update completely destroy a piece of
    gear like this... amazing .

Anyway, I have been using the CoPilot gps in the company truck and it's working fine. I think that piece is
RM driven. The company fuel and routing info is downloaded to it automatically when I get my load
assignment, so , it is actually saving me some time.

I prefer to use an atlas with hand written road notes, using the GPS for cues and turns. So GPS is just
    a support mechanism for me.

It is all destiny, it appears... I will fix the 720 sooner or later, I'm just in no big hurry now.

I dont really understand why so many people have so many problems updating a gps...especially people who claim to be tech savvy....

i have been using rm units ever since they came out with the first one and have never had an issue...

sure the unit does some strange routing at times but i have had the garmin and cobra units which were a lot worse.

i always follow the download instructions and no problems...

2 weeks ago i updated my 720 following Marks directions and have had no issues at all...

    just dont understand.....

you were lucky enough to be on this thread prior. I found it only after my machine locked up.
The instructions given by the dock were limited at best.
    Good coding is fool proof.
I suppose that makes me a fool ;)

I have a new question. Why do I get junction views for toll plazas and rest areas?
