Do you shutdown when the 14 hour clock is up no matter what?

Yes, dispatch can go back and edit logs, however they must show the reason why the edit has to be done. An example is if a driver forgets to go off duty when they get home, then three days later they are still on duty, safety can edit the log. If a driver goes over on the drive line, safety can not edit that.

You can edit anything on your e-logs except Drive time, until you approve your logs. -
I know that I am preaching to the choir, but the the 14 hour rule needs to go. Drivers were better off "safety wise" when they had wiggle room under the older HOS. At least they could shut it down for a few hours sleep when the load had time on it.

But we aren't talking about drive time. I think OP said he was over on 14 not 11. Methink they can edit his start time by 15 minutes to get him that extra 20 miles....or not? -
