Unfortunately I have one of those right now where I get bugged by work a LOT on my personal phone. Calls, text messesges, emails...everything, and I have to admit it's one of the major reasons why I'm totally sick of this place after 6 months. I prefer jobs where I punch out, leave, or whatever, and know there's very little chance of hearing from anybody from work until I show back up.

2 phones work and pers.
pers phone only rings in case of emergency ,I don't chat.
work phone doesn't get answered if driving. they love that!lol
family knows I will call when the day is over.
work or brokers will be called back if needed.
I don't need a broker doing the stupid "check calls". I won't answer.
my phone is a dumb phone, also. lolShaggy and Tonythetruckerdude Thank this. -
phone zombies.... My wife and I were out to eat a couple night ago and the 3'tables around us were all looking at their phones...not talking. Like zombies....
I admit I love my smart phone. But ####... If you are sitting across from somebody...have a conversation...
I do admit to wearing earbuds in the truck stop sometimes when trying to avoid the endless TV room convo.... -

Strangely enough, I purely by chance rarely manage to get to him in time to answer.... -
Not a slave to any phone. My phone has certain rings for certain people. If i feel like it I'll answer. If the number calling is not in my contact list my phone will not ring and it will get sent straight to voice mail.

No, I am no slave to the phone. I am the Master of my domain. As such my phone? Is a very simple, basic pre-paid phone, that costs all of $25 for 3 months of service. I call, I speak, I hang up. Someone calls me, I answer, I hang up.
Such a simple life I lead, live and go to bed nary a worry about this app, that app, this message, that text, yada, yada, yada. -
Is your wife long winded on the phone?I ignore the calls then check my voicemail. Its always bill collecters and recruiters.I never was a phone person.Use to hang around with a lady who would talk for over an hr about nothing. Then once in a while my counsin from Salt Lake calls.I know better then to answer it.She will literally complain for hrs.
Ducks Thanks this. -

Those drivers that seem to think they cannot afford to miss a call. Walk around the truckstop with the Bluetooth on, answering phone calls in the men's room while taking the Browns to the Super Bowl.
I leave the phone in the truck. I will only answer the phone while driving. There is no one I want to talk to while eating dinner or hugging the bowl. Nobody. No, not even Jessica Alba. I do have a sign for the back of the trailer for people to call to complain about my driving. I have a premium phone number, only $4.99/minute. Had a woman in a minivan passing me on the left, look in her mirrors and started to panic because an SUV was speeding up on her. As soon as she cleared my bumper, she cut in front of me, and I laid on the horn. She panicked and hit the shoulder. I went around her, grabbed another gear and kept going. I see her coming up behind. Next thing, I get a premium call.
'Hello?'
"Yes, I would like to report an evil truck driver..."
'Are you driving a minivan?'
"Yes. How did...?"
(Cue the Barry White Deeper and Deeper)
'Awww, baby...you don't know how it feels...'
"What?"
'Me driving her next to you. Sharing the road as we travel together down this stretch of asphalt.'
"What are you talking about?"
'This journey, we are together for just a moment...'
"Together?"
'Together. You and I. Right now, nothing else is as important as this connection that we share.'
"Who is this?"
'I love how you grip that steeringwheel. Hands are so soft...'
"Are you that truck driver?"
' Am that Specialist. And you are special to me.'
"Really? You are funny!"
'I am straight actually.'
