Wrong again. There are several crude hauling jobs all over S. TX being advertised for drivers with zero experience. Maybe they aren't the kind of companies that an experienced driver would go to, but they are a start.

I do suggest that you move to the area you are interested in. E-mail applications from the hinterlands are usually ignored. Show that you are local and someone will pick you up.

"Again" as I have been wrong before? You act as if South Texas is immune to the oil bust. Trust me, it's not.

As has been said time and again; you CANNOT use Craigslist as an indicator of the health of the oil industry For example:
    and

And what happens when all of the laid off oilfield workers flock to South Texas for those precious few jobs that are left? I'm not wrong. More like you have your eyes shut and ears plugged while singing "LALALA" It's time to start looking at the big picture and stop dreaming that everything is fine.

No new drilling happening right now in the lower 48, a few clean out rigs runing , new driver no experience.

Thats why they call them starter companies. Prime at least pays you to start out.

    flightwatch Thanks this.

You might want to check with MBI. Not sure what they do with recent graduates, maybe haul water, not a bad gig to start with.

You may have to. I know in my area , we ve had 3 recent accidents involving new guys . All 3 were rollovers , so a lot of companies have back off on the recent grads. plus its slow , they can be picky !

Was at the Minot, ND job fair today and MBI would only consider drivers with 2 years experience. Those with less than 2 years experience could start out as Water Transfer Technicians, which is hard manual labor. They could possibly eventually transition to a driving position.

It's definitely not hard manual labor. Did the recruiter describe it as such?

Also @ironmule they're offering experienced drivers $18-21/hr. Thanks but no thanks.
