If you use a check scanner a faxed check is as good as an original.

 

Comcheck scams are pretty common... just try to pull something like that off st your local truck stop.

 

Three of my customers pay off faxed checks and I send out 12-13 faxed checks a week. It's common place business.

 

Legally, a 'check' can be any anything on which the Fed-required information can be transmitted. The form we know as "a check" is merely a widely-accepted convenience. Whether a business will accept a check on toilet paper, for example, well, that's another story.

Now instead of the CHECK IS IN THE MAIL , its look at your FAX machine for the CHECK I am sure we sent it

 

I've seen banks cash check from an ordinary scanner. Just print, cut it out, sign the back and cash. Once I even saw the same check I sent get cashed twice like that so I never did it again. Some banks will even cash just a scan.

 

If you send a check to a CC company it is just scanned, bank statement shows electronic check. I haven't deposited checks for 9 years, just scan them in.
