Thank you, I didnt open the PDF.
Cascade locks Eastbound? Run HWY-14 on the WA side, and cross the river back to I-84 at biggs jnct. That Eastbound cascade locks is a real nitpicking bunch. Hood river court is not a driver friendly place either. Seriously I havent been through that scale for years!Last edited: Mar 17, 2015

First off, the officer who gave your driver a ticket is a jerk. There's no reason to put someone out of service for what is clearly a "form and manner" violation. I'd fight the violation on that basis.
That being said, your driver DIDN'T correctly fill out his logs and therefore should either get a "form and manner" violation or at least be forced to correct his log before being allowed to leave the scalehouse.
It's been awhile since I had to do paper logs but since I keep paper logbook on hand in case my e-logs go down I drew up a quick example of how to properly log a 34 hour reset. For this example let's say I started my reset at 8pm on 11/18, was off all day 11/19 and went back on duty after 6 am on 11/20. Logs for the 18th and 20th are not important because they would be done exactly like normal... Full logs for both days including the off duty time at the end or beginning of the shift. The log for the 19th should look like this: (Pardon the crappy handwriting)
Notice there's no indication of the reset or either of the other days involved in the reset. Then all he would have to do to show the reset was complete is drop a flag at 6am on 11/20 (the third day).
No offense to your driver but this is pretty basic stuff. Logbook errors like that are one of the big income (fine) producers for most states. Fight the violation in court but make sure your driver knows what he's doing so he doesn't have to worry about this happening again.Last edited: Mar 17, 2015

OP, the title of your thread is misleading. It's not two dates in one page which is acceptable. It's one day in two pages which is not.
Have any super truckers here ever put one day in two pages? (Other than to cheat) I haven't, in twenty years I can't think of a reason to do that.
As far as intent, that's what log books are for. To show your intent in clear and understandable format. If the officer can't make sense of it then you have a problem.MHC Thanks this. -
I should have asked why 5 but I guess he would be showing legal in 1 of them no matter the situation.MHC Thanks this. -
3/10-3/16, but the dates on the prior log will have to be 3/09 and the date on the next log will have to be 3/17, ticket is justifiedlmcclure1220, EZ Money, MHC and 1 other person Thank this. -
