The problem is that they used a $50 "Shenzhen Special" tablet for their hardware. Had they used something a bit closer to current, I might have been interested.

I'm not quite understanding why Google's Android team won't allow updates for all

Depends on the dance I guess, offer the two step and the tango..

Then be sure there's enough storage / space for an update

    lovesthedrive Thanks this.

Gonna have to agree with Snowwy. Had a 720. It crashed. Twice. Then the replacement crashed right out of the box. I have a Garmin dezl 560 that has 400,000 miles on it. No problems whatsoever. If you were to walk into any truck stop in the country and ask which one of the GPS models was returned or complained about more, it's the Rand McNally. After the experience I had with it, there's no way I'd give up that kind of money, or any kind of money for that thing.

So the Garmin does not have any routing issues, software issues? Everything is so perfect?

I don't know why your 720 crashed, I never saw you ask for help on the support thread.

    lovesthedrive Thanks this.

No sir. It's not perfect. Nothing is perfect. I'm going on personal experience and what I've been told by the retailers. Now, I depend on my RM Motor Carriers Atlas. It's the only one I'll ever buy. And the RM software with all the POI and the information like mile markers, counties, etc is something I wish I had. I wish the RM would have been the unit I could have depended on. But after 2 units being defective in a row, I had to go elsewhere. Not trying to say that RM is completely useless and don't buy it and all that, but caveat emptor. What you guys put into the units are nothing short of fantastic. The units themselves could use a bit of tweaking though. Don't take offense Mark, I don't mean to make it seem I'm coming after you. Just telling of my personal experience.
