Guys I drive for central refirgerated (swift) on their kraft dedicated division. Well this is a first but My load that I am pulling now is a 14ft 3in trailer and I need to get it to the kraft plant in bethlehem pa. I am taking I-70 atm to 76 and 76 to 81 then 78 towards bethlehem. I have done loads thru pa before and I swear there are places you cant clear with a 14ft trailer I cant remember where though. I am googleing right now and not getting anything usefull for overhead clearance in pa. Most usefull thing I have is my 2014 rand mcnally road atlas. Would someone know if I will run into issues with this 14ft 3im swift reefer on my current route? A online map of bridge clearances helps too. Normally I would be pulling a regular 13-6 53foot central reefer, which is why I say its a first having a reefer taller than 13-6.
Need info on overhad clearance in PA

I don't drive a truck, but I found this on-line at http://§http://www.dmv.state.pa.us/pdotforms/vehicle_code/chapter49.pdf. Does this mean you need a permit for that trailer?
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
Never heard of such a thing,to pull a load that high you need permits,a pole car.did u take your medecine this morning?
G.Anthony Thanks this. -
You need to call dispatch and raise hell until someone comes to their senses. You go over there with that tall of a trailer, and it's gonna be an open-top before you're through! -
Must be a hi/cube trailer that is pulled by a truck with smaller wheels an tires,19.5

Its a 14-3 reefer says on the trailers cab card. Dispatch didn't believe me so I grabbed the terminal manager at the columbus yard. Now dispatch is trying to figure out why a private fleet trailer got loaded. They are cross docking it atm onto a central reefer.
