    Spot on Mack. It's a fine line, Many customers take advantage of the driver and have ego of bought the services, Try to dictate the convenience.

    Many of us outside Food & Beverage do not operate that way. It's a situation by situation call by the driver.

    same crappy equipment, different day

    Remember all the ryder "mechanics" on deck on saturday, pulling equipment out etc? (and almost nothing leaves on sunday)

    I get in this morning (monday) for my route, hook up the tractor, check the lights on the trailer, Lower left marker light is out
    the tandem air lines aren't supported (hang too low)
    no seal on the tailgate door
    the cable that holds the tailgate door (like a garage door) is all frayed and is going to fail soon.

    yeah, typical stuff.

    actions speak louder than words

    Yup. The one exception that I've seen is if you show up with a chick (we have one female driver). Show up with her to a job site for a delivery and every guy comes out of the woodwork to "help," lol.

    Shaggy Thanks this.

    Not a rant, just an observation. Pitt Ohio drivers get really mad when you call them coneheads.

    ouch, dude. That sucks. When I first started driving I had a bad habit of setting things down on the catwalk or on the trailer deck (flatbed) and then forgetting about them. I lost a really nice aluminum storage clipboard, and the bills inside, that way. Another time I left my company issued phone on the catwalk, and to my surprise it was still there when I made my next stop 50 miles later. I got lucky on that one, that would have been an expensive replacement. I lost ink pens, jackets, gloves, you name it, until I finally realized it might be a good idea to do a walkaround and pick up my crap before I took off.

    * LSx heads

    Great cars for it's class. Frankly, just not a fan of anything Cadillac. Dislike the looks and added $ because of the name.
