    Hey Everyone,
    My apologies if this has already been posted and if it has please link the post.

    I was wondering about purchasing a camera for my cabin. I've narrowed it down to the

    Black Box

    DieselBoss Model DB4

    My questions for you are:

    Which one of these two would you choose?

    Also, if you can please give your input on how well one of these work or do not work for you?

    Well here is my take on the situation.
    Amazon if there is a problem you will have to send a email explaining the situation for warranty.
    DieselBoss he is a phonecall and may even help you with a alternative you hadnt realized. He is a worker, Amazon presumes you know what you are doing even if you have questions.

    Both are the same size for viewing.

    Amazon the card is extra.
    DB's unit it is a choice with the 8gb included in the price or more memory if you want

    Amazons unit the screen is always in your field of vision
    DB's has a fold up screen and is about the size of a radar detector.

    Free 8 gig card huh.
    Don't let that make the decision for you.

    Before I bought mine I was looking at all kinds of different DCs, some also in the less than $100 range. In the end I spent more than that.

    Tell you what. I'll put an unadvertised discount code on the DB4 camera right now in the spirit of the Mid-America Truck show.

    Use the code "show15" in the cart. It will make the 16 Gb card version the same price as the free 8Gb version. And if you add the 32 Gb SD card option it will get you that card for $10 bucks. I'll leave it there for the duration of the show or until I run out of cards, whichever happens first.

    Hey Thanks for the response. I have a couple of questions.

    1.Not sure why you refer to the other as an "Amazon" camera. Did you mean the Black Box camera that is sold on Amazon?

    2. What does " he is a phonecall" and he is a worker mean?

    If you could clear this up for me, I would be most grateful. Thanks again.

    I use the DB4 in my car constantly with a 32gb card. It comes on automatically when I start the car and I leave it in constant record as I found out the motion cut off the audio at the beginning and end of each clip, plus I had to move it at an angle to catch motion. It writes over the existing files if need be.
