Yesterday on the load I took out of our yard. Tandems all the way forward. I slid them to the 41' center of axle group (Tennessee) moving an estimated 3000 lbs and headed out for Ohio.

I did ag for awhile, grain and fruit, I was paid by percentage. The ranch I worked for was paid by the pound per load. Which means, I, and the other drivers were paid by the pound.. I recall getting chewed out for loads over 80,000. They docent every truck that goes to a dryer and the weights. During this phase I discovered 80,500 or more takes longer to unload then 78,000.. At 78,000 I could squeeze in 5 loads instead of 3 over gross.. Of course the wait time at the dryers where one unloads played a part in it too..

    Just a mention

I dare you to name one company that says no overweight tickets?

I hauled ag for a while too. It wasn't unusual during almond season to gross over 90K. No scales made it a little easier on the nerves.

You know what I have read on a few job postings saying something about overweight tickets but I don't recall the context. You sound more confident than me in it so I will take your word for it.

Good. One less thing I have to worry about.

Yeah its 'Cwt' which is hundred weight, that’s how a lot of grain haulers get paid, about gotta get paid percentage since in Agriculture they aren’t required to pay overtime, so the cheap old farts are more than happy to pay you hourly, lol.

Not to mention all the billy big riggers that heard from a friend who heard in a truck stop about that one driver that was fined, thrown in jail, lost the truck and black balled from the industry because they had a marker light out.... i can understand why someone new to the industry would be concerned with some of the bull stories i've heard over the years..

I find it interesting how the OP is getting so much flack.. yet if the very odd chance they did get a ticket for such a silly amount of weight everyone here would be calling them an idiot for taking the load down the road
