Looking for what Truck Profile everyone uses for a Truck with a sleeper and a 53ft Trailer? What combination seems to work best?
Thanks for your input.

I use 73'×13'6"×8'6" on my Dezl 770
W/Pete 587 -
I use the actual size as well, and chose 80K in the weight department, even though I am seldom over 70K. The biggest fault I can find with the system is that the road info seems to be based on someone/something reading the posted highway signs. In PA the Garmin tells me I am not allowed to travel over some weight limited bridges, the signs say something like 36 ton limit, but underneath that big part of the sign it says combinations 40 tons. They can't seem to read or comprehend the bottom part.
There was a similar issue with I-80 in Nebraska for a while, that it saw the 17 ton axle limit and read it as a total. That has been corrected. -

I had this discussion with the fellow Mark who moderates the Rand Mcnally gps thread. The data that the 2 companies use to make the routing decisions is similar but at least RM consults their lawyers to minimize their legal exposure. They don't want to get sued so they will route you extra safely. Garmin is a little less touchy, maybe because they are based in Ireland.
I run both the 520 and the garmin side by side all the time and watch the differences. Until someone actually spends serious coin on the databases these problems will always occur. -
Good question. My 560 won't let me on I 80 in Iowa or Nebraska, unless I'm in car mode

My 770 gets lost and has a hard time finding its self.
Routes me on different roads every time I go to same place almost daily.
Says their are weight restrictions on road but is a major Hwy US 90.
Change up settings but not much changes.
Road ends going South on LA 23 to Venice 59 miles short of Venice.
But knows their is a road going back out of Venice. ( This place sucks)
Got a friend with the same GPS and we compair screens between the two when running together. A lot of the time they show different.
Not much help with Haz-Mat routing.Gunrunner84 Thanks this. -
My Garmin 760, wanted to route me from Cincinnati, to Lansing MI. up 75N to 23N then, 223N to 127N? Unless I missed something 23N to 94W to 127N is the correct route. It's always wanting to take me some goofy way when there is a easier truck route. What settings do you use, shortest route, or less fuel? I don't know how it deciphers between the two but that may have something to do with it. I had mine set to less time, maybe making want to go off the main highway.
