2750 is my comfy spot here at jct. At that I clear 1150 after taxes and all expenses. I do very well here at jct. I only have a few complaints but those are nothing about earning. I wish we could book our own loads but I get why we can't. And I wish I could bring my dog but I'm still saving that 2k up.

If he's getting 8mpg+, how are his numbers a sham?

Listen, it's too bad that you didn't have what it takes to make it at JCT. But you're trying to hard to convince yourself that your decision to go to Schneider is a sound one.

1.15 a mile 350 gallons at 2.25 a gallon .29 a mile variable payment and variable maintenance, plus minimum 250 fixed cost 120 of that being truck payment, and taxes are 25% so his gross has to be near 1500 to net what he says AFTER TAXES.
So irregardless of my plans you people should be truthful

And as for having what it takes to make it at a JCT, buddy I can count on one hand how many times I've netted less than 1K and that's AFTER TAXES, what I don't like is paying the taxes of a owner operator but not being treated like a owner operator instead being treated like a company driver.
Just today I'm going to be 30+ hours early for delivery but they say no can't drop or swap, and last settlement period I only got 2300 miles, so your right under those circumstances I don't have what it takes because I'm not going to allow any company to treat me like that and call me a owner operator just so I pay all the taxes and truck expenses and I don't have ANY way to increase my revenue.

I try not to come into threads about other companies, and plug my company. I always feel if people were interested in my company they would be looking under their thread. However, since pandora's box has been opened I will break my own rule just this one time. As a rule I have decided if somebody is working for a company that has a business model I dont like, and they are successful, my opinion on the company doesn't matter. I'm just happy to see a fellow driver that feels successful. Everybody has a different definition of success in this business, and you should never minimize their feelings.

In trucking, there is no one size fits all. We all have different needs/priorities, and values. I grew up in the business, when I was a young boy my family owned a fleet of about 15 trucks. I swore I was never going to drive a truck. .... but here I sit. I got my CDL in 2008, I spent time at CFI/Conway , about 6 months in it became clear I needed to come off the road to try to either save my marriage, or work out custody issues, etc... My tenure there was short, but when I called in and told them the situation they got me to a terminal, bought me a bus ticket, and told me if I ever needed a job I was welcome back. I did some local work hauling tankers in 2008-2009, broke my leg racing motocross and couldn't work but didn't want to waste time figuring out how to live on a disability check until I was done rehabbing.... so I used my gi bill and spent a few years going to college , earning a criminal justice degree. During this time I moved to SC and started driving occasionally for my father. In March 2013 I went back to driving full time for a small 5 truck fleet, doing blanket wrap freight. It was a pretty cool gig for a company driver, tickets to red sox/patriots games, use of bosses harley, use of bosses dirt bikes/ snowmobile, etc.... However, I felt like I was at the point where if I was going to stay in trucking I needed to take the next step. Life is funny, sometimes the things you swear you'd never do .... you end up doing with no regrets. My whole life I pretty much swore I'd NEVER, work for Schneider, and when i watched LP programs become all the rage I laughed at all the people rushing into them and swore I would NEVER do a LP. My ex wife (who is one of my best friends to this day) has an uncle who is a recruiter for Schneider, who always made it known I could come to schneider.... who I always made it clear to I was NEVER coming to schneider. lol Last year as I was researching what my next step would be, he drops a bug in my ex wifes ear that Schneider has a program that is really taking off that I should check out. I look through the program and it all sounds fair, but I refuse to believe it. It all looks just a little too simple. I almost begrudgingly begin the hiring process, knowing full well that if they hire me I'm going to go there and spend a few months proving what I already know..... it has to be a rip off. It's a lp. I tell my boss I'm thinking about trying something new, he tells me in a very polite way I'm stupid , and going to get ripped off, but the door is always open when it doesn't work out.

I started orientation on September 22 2014 (my 30th birthday), right out of the gate I made decent money. I've floundered a few times changing things up just to see what works, and what doesn't work, but never so bad that I wasn't profitable. I haven't gotten rich yet, but I have been able to be more comfortable financially, and do things for my children that I've always wanted to do, and I've been able to put some money into my race cars.

To the person that heard bad stories about Schneider finance, that is honestly what made me respond. The only way you could have problems with Schneider finance is if you dont do your job. It is really that simple. In January I was on I77 near charlotte , nc when a lady in the right lane drove across the line and hit my truck. The damage she did was mostly cosmetic. (busted running board, gouged rf wheel, and busted headlight cover) I had vacation planned in February to take my children to florida for the Daytona 500, and to visit Kennedy Space Center. I made the business decision to run the truck until vacation, and then let it be repaired over vacation so I wouldn't be doubling downtime without revenue. Well, it just so happened what should have been a couple day repair but the truck down for 10 days. My rep at SFI told me to let her know if there was any way that SFI could help me out. The solution in the end was to 0 out my payment for the week, and spread it out over time. They didn't have to do that, but they did because I do my job. They have also approved me to take my truck elsewhere if I want to. (I dont) I've also been approved to add trucks and start a small fleet. (i'm not ready for that yet)

Anyways, sorry for the long winded post. The brief rundown of what I'm trying to say is, dont knock another mans hustle. For those of you at SNI Choice (like myself) you know how good it can be, I know how good it can be, but it's not for everybody. For those of you that found a home at JCT and love it, keep doing it. It's hard to find places in this business where you are happy, and feel like you're getting a fair shake.

And what I have seen as for complaints about Schneider Finance has been the same scenario, a driver don't keep up with the payments for whatever reason and expects the finance company to give them some type of reward for not keeping up with the payments.
I've honestly been looking for a reason to stay at JCT and to Not go to Schneider but haven't been able to come up with anything, I really hate changing companies, but last month my miles were the lowest of any month in the 6 months I've been here, and this month isn't better and to top it off I'm being made to babysit a load for over 33 hours even though I communicated my early ETA from the moment I left the shipper 2 days ago, so there comes a time when you have to make a change to better your situation if the company you working for can't or won't. And I'm not a lazy driver by far, I RUN, I sleep at shippers and consignees, I stop for mandatory breaks and try to fuel at a break or inspection, I maximize my productivity in every way I can but here lately it hasn't helped me improve my revenue, then I started reflecting on the situation and realized I'm just a company driver because there's no difference being a JCT Lease Driver than being a company driver ANYWHERE, the only exception is you pay all of the expenseses for the truck and employment taxes while they pay you just like a company driver, it's a great business model for the owners they don't even pay 50% of the load to the "operator" they actually found a way to have employees without ANY of the liability or expenses, these people make over $1 a mile on EVERY load and final payout to the driver is .40-45 cpm, but on paper it looks like alot more it's GENIUS for them. But that really isn't working for me, I'm trying to build a small fleet within the next 5 years, I appreciate the experience here at JCT but it's time to move on.
I have no dreams of being a company driver no matter what title they use.
For all the current drivers at JCT if you like it keep doing it, BUT if you add up all your truck lease payments and maintenance deductions for 12 months and it was more than 1K a week including fixed payment, then you might want to consider what Schneider has to offer, 65% of the load ain't bad, the 2016 Freightliner lease has fixed payments and only a 12 month duration if you want,
AND YOU PICK YOUR OWN LOADS FROM THE LOAD BOARD. YOU control your revenue by the loads you pick and complete etc. The fuel discount is like .20+ a gallon at Pilot/Flying J, I mean just on the face of the program you have the potential to make more at Schneider than JCT. But I guess success is different for everyone.
I'm trying to build my own small fleet and I can't do it at JCT.

I could give 2 shatts about Schneider...and care even less if they give you a sparkly pony as a sign-on bonus and a secret backrub every month behind their HQ.

    COULD.CARE.LESS.

You come to this forum, babbling on and on about how Schneider is the best company EVAR (without having worked 1 day for that company I might add), then call a JCT driver a liar...

I'd post a few of my recent settlements if it would make you go away and ship the fudge up...but I doubt that it would do any good at all.

So you just continue to spout off and ramble on about your new love affair. Hopefully you'll get bored and wander off sometime soon, so that this forum can again host conversation about JCT.

I just wish people would tell the truth, folks come on these forums looking for information and you got people totally fabricating earnings how pathetic, just on the numbers he posted that you wanted to defend him over was a LIE, so now people that are considering JCT can see the untold truth, YOU CAN MAKE MORE MONEY AS A COMPANY DRIVER THAN WITH JCT.
As for Schneider you can just compare threads, talk to the recruiters at both companies, then talk to the finance companies at both companies, oops my error JCT doesn't have a finance company 😂, you can just look at the Websites for the two companies and see the difference.
Bottom line companies can lie about alot and the biggest lie at JCT is they have Owner Operators, and it's even worse that some of yall believe it😂😂😂
So yes you continue to defend JCT and buy that Fuel with the 8 cent rebate, while I go to Schneider and pay a 20 cent or more discount at the pump.
You keep paying that OVER PRICED payment at JCT for that truck you'll NEVER own out of warranty and unable to fix it because JCT didn't pay you enough.
So yes maybe I will get bored, but then maybe I wont, as long as I see a LIE on ANY thread with JCT I will for the next year see it as my duty to correct it kapish.
Don't get mad at me JCT company driver called a owner operator unable to increase your revenue because all you control is how much you spend on fuel and how fast you drive under the governed 67 mph they ALLOW you to go. 😂😂😂
Don't get mad because while you guys on here living in your delusion and I came and shead light on all that fabrication and NOT ONE PERSON CAN TRUTHFULLY DISPUTE ANYTHING I'VE SAID ABOUT JCT.
You just keep going 57 mph buddy give yourself a raise 😂😂😂😂, I'll be at Schneider picking my own loads determining my own revenue with my truck with ZERO miles on it, and and paying less than YOU.✌
